Why Trinity

Three reasons our clients stay.

We’re a boutique accounting practice built on long-term client relationships, offering personalised tax, accounting, and advisory services to businesses and organisations across Sydney.

  • Longevity that compounds

Twenty-three years in practice as of 2026. Same firm, same principal, same standards since 2003. Some clients have been with us almost the whole way. The work compounds, and so does the trust. Over four hundred SMSFs managed and thousands of tax returns lodged.

  • Everything under one roof

Tax, books, advisory, SMSF, Xero. One team that knows your business. No handoffs between firms, no missed details between specialists, no questions you have to answer twice. Numbers flow cleanly from books to BAS to tax return because the same people are looking at all of them.

  • We pick up the phone

We are old-fashioned about this. You get a name, a direct line, and someone who actually knows your file. We watch for trends, flag issues before they become fines, and call when something needs attention. Most clients hear from us between quarters, not just at lodgement time.

Why specialist accounting matters

Why pharmacies need a specialist accountant.

Pharmacies operate under heavy regulation with unique financial complexity. PBS claims, controlled stock, supplier rebates, franchise obligations, and high staff costs all require an accountant who knows how the sector actually works. The accounting work is small business plus heavy compliance plus inventory complexity.

Add ownership structures that often involve partnerships, banner groups, or franchise affiliations. Add staff payroll under the pharmacy industry award. Add the constant pressure of stock turnover and supplier credit terms. The financial complexity sits well above small business average.

A general accountant can miss significant deductions, fail to maximise PBS-related tax outcomes, or structure your practice in a way that complicates partnership transitions. Specialist pharmacy accounting means understanding the income mix, the inventory work, and the partnership arrangements that come with the sector. Trinity has been doing this for over twenty years.

  • PBS reconciliation complexity

PBS claims need to reconcile against payments received. Without specialist attention, errors accumulate and tax outcomes suffer.
  • Stock and margin tracking

Pharmacy stock turns over frequently with thin margins. Without proper accounting, profitability per category stays invisible.
  • Partnership and ownership

Pharmacy ownership often involves partnerships or franchise arrangements. Wrong structures create tax inefficiency and complicate exit.
  • Award-based payroll

Pharmacy industry award covers pharmacists, dispensary assistants, and retail staff with different rates and entitlements.

About Trinity Accounting

A small firm by design.

Trinity Accounting Practice opened in Beverly Hills in 2003. Ramy Hanna, a registered tax agent and Fellow of three Australian accounting institutes, has run it since. The firm has stayed deliberately small, deliberately local, and deliberately senior. The principal you talk to today is the principal who will be reviewing your return next October.

Most of our work comes from referrals. Most clients have been with us for years, some for decades. We think that says more about the work than any award would.

Common pharmacy questions

What pharmacies ask before engaging us.

The questions pharmacies most often have before working with us. Same answers we give in person, just in writing.

Pricing depends on pharmacy size, ownership structure, and the engagement scope. Single-store independents typically start at a fixed monthly fee. Multi-store and franchise groups are quoted as a package.

Yes. PBS claims are reconciled against payments received as part of standard bookkeeping. Discrepancies are flagged for review rather than left to compound.

Yes. We design and document partnership structures, handle buy-in and buy-out accounting, and manage the tax outcomes for incoming and outgoing partners.

Yes. We support independents, banner-group affiliates, and franchise pharmacies. Each has different reporting and compliance demands and we adjust to fit.

We track inventory at the category level, with margin analysis and stock-loss reporting. SKU-level tracking is available where the pharmacy POS supports it.

CSO reporting and 6CPA compliance are part of standard service for relevant pharmacies. We stay current with arrangement changes and adjust reporting accordingly.
