Why Trinity

Three reasons our clients stay.

We’re a boutique accounting practice built on long-term client relationships, offering personalised tax, accounting, and advisory services to businesses and organisations across Sydney.

  • Longevity that compounds

Twenty-three years in practice as of 2026. Same firm, same principal, same standards since 2003. Some clients have been with us almost the whole way. The work compounds, and so does the trust. Over four hundred SMSFs managed and thousands of tax returns lodged.

  • Everything under one roof

Tax, books, advisory, SMSF, Xero. One team that knows your business. No handoffs between firms, no missed details between specialists, no questions you have to answer twice. Numbers flow cleanly from books to BAS to tax return because the same people are looking at all of them.

  • We pick up the phone

We are old-fashioned about this. You get a name, a direct line, and someone who actually knows your file. We watch for trends, flag issues before they become fines, and call when something needs attention. Most clients hear from us between quarters, not just at lodgement time.

Xero problems

Xero set up the first time, then never quite finished.

You moved to Xero from MYOB, QuickBooks, or a desktop file. Someone migrated the data. The new system mostly works, the bank feeds mostly reconcile, and the chart of accounts is approximately right.

But the trial balance does not balance. The opening figures came across as a single lump sum nobody can break apart. Categories were imported by guesswork. You ask the same five questions every quarter because the GST coding is wrong on half the line items.

Xero is good software. Xero set up well runs a business. Xero set up half-finished is harder than the system it replaced. The setup is a discipline, and Trinity does it weekly: chart of accounts built around how your business actually runs, opening balances reconciled to the dollar, bank rules tuned over the first quarter rather than left at defaults.

  • Migrated, not finished

Data brought across. Chart of accounts, bank feeds, opening balances all left half-set.
  • Mystery opening balances

A single figure where ten years of transactions should sit. Nobody can explain how it was calculated.
  • GST coded by guess

Half the line items wrong. Some get caught at BAS time. The rest the ATO finds later.
  • Underused features

Bank rules, automations, integrations, reporting. All sit unused while the work continues manually.
What you actually need is the foundation built right once, so the rest of the work runs on top of it.

Setup outcomes

What Xero looks like, set up properly.

Less time on admin. Cleaner records. Better decisions because the numbers are current.

  • Certified Xero Advisor Expertise

We're not just users of Xero—we're certified advisors. We understand best practices, ecosystem integrations, and how to future-proof your setup.
  • Get Set Up Once and Correctly

A proper setup from the start means no rework later. Your chart of accounts, bank feeds, and automations are built on a solid foundation.
  • Save Hours With Automation

Smart bank feed rules, invoice automation, and expense management integrations eliminate manual data entry. Your team gets time back each week.
  • Real-Time Financial Visibility

No more month-end scrambles. With Xero, you see live cash flow, profit & loss, and financial position every day.
  • Seamless Accountant Integration

We use Xero daily in our own practice. We know how to set it up so tax compliance and year-end is smooth and efficient.
  • Scale Without More Headcount

As your business grows, Xero grows with you. Professional setup means you can handle more volume without proportional cost increases.

Setup process

Audit, setup, training, ongoing support.

Same process for every new engagement. You know what is happening and when.

  • Audit and scope

We start by understanding what you have got and what you actually need. Existing setup, current pain points, integrations, team size. The scope comes out of that conversation, not a template.

    • Review existing chart of accounts, bank feeds, and coding rules
    • Audit GST treatment, payroll setup, and reconciliation gaps
    • Map current workflows and find automation opportunities
    • Scope migration plan, training needs, and integration list
  • Setup and migration

The technical work. We move your data over, build the foundation properly, and wire up the integrations that take manual work off your team. Done once, done right, no rework.

    • Migrate from MYOB, QuickBooks, or desktop with reconciled opening balances
    • Build a chart of accounts tailored to your industry and reporting needs
    • Configure bank feeds, recurring transactions, and bank rules
    • Connect integrations (Dext, payroll, POS) and set user permissions
  • Training and support

Your team learns the system. We stay close for the first quarter so questions get answered as they come up, and we keep an eye on the file so coding drift gets caught early.

    • Hands-on training across invoicing, payroll, and reporting
    • Quarterly Xero health checks to catch coding drift early
    • Direct line for questions when something looks off
    • Ongoing improvements to automations and add-on apps

Who we set up

Setups we have done before.

If you see your situation below, we have done this work before. If you do not, ask anyway.

  • Businesses new to Xero

You've decided on Xero but need expert setup to get it right from day one. We build the foundation so you do not spend the next year fixing it.
  • Migrating from MYOB or QuickBooks

You want a smooth, low-risk transition with reconciled opening balances and minimal disruption. We have done the migration enough times to know where it usually breaks.
  • Existing Xero users with messy data

Your file has become a problem rather than a solution. Coding drift, wrong opening balances, broken bank rules. We audit and fix it.
  • Businesses wanting to maximise Xero

Bank rules, automations, integrations, dashboards. The features you are paying for but not using. We help you actually use them.

About Trinity Accounting

A small firm by design.

Trinity Accounting Practice opened in Beverly Hills in 2003. Ramy Hanna, a registered tax agent and Fellow of three Australian accounting institutes, has run it since. The firm has stayed deliberately small, deliberately local, and deliberately senior. The principal you talk to today is the principal who will be reviewing your return next October.

Most of our work comes from referrals. Most clients have been with us for years, some for decades. We think that says more about the work than any award would.
